Is it just me, or have y’all noticed that TJ Maxx has really stepped it up! They’re carrying all our favorite high end beauty brands. The other week I went to have a look at what they were carrying. I wanted to find some skin care stuff but ended up getting something different. I made a little haul video, but I will be breaking down my purchases on here as well…
Bare Minerals Bare Skin Brightening Serum Foundation
I really enjoy this product. I’ve said it a million times already but I will say it again, I love natural looking foundations. I like very light coverage and prefer a dewy finish. This foundation dries down to a pretty natural finish and I love it. It is extremely light weight and feel very smooth on the skin. I just really like it and for $8.99 I’m seriously thrilled with my purchase.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer
So I seem to be having a moment with First Aid Beauty, I’m just so curious about their products. I remember seeing this product in a sponsored post on Instagram, twice. The first post showed a woman with a fair complexion applying the lightest shade and it was clearly not the right shade for her, it looked straight up yellow/orange. The comment section was filled with people saying that the shade was not a match and a lot of comments about the shade range. The next time I saw this product sponsored on Instagram the post was showing a woman with a deeper complexion apply the product. Again, the product was clearly not a match for her, and in the comments everyone was saying the shade was too light and they don’t have enough shades. I agree that the shade range is WACK. The lightest shade, which is the one I bought, was almost too dark for me. The product preforms about the same as any tinted moisturizer but wow the shades are weird.
ABH Cream Contour
I think everyone has been exposed to the ABH cream contour kit, but if you haven’t tested it out I’ll give you the run down. In my opinion, these shades blend out really nicely. I literally ONLY use the contour shades, not the highlights. I like how long the product lasts on my skin and I love the blend-ability. It’s goooood.
Sonic Facial Cleanser
I’ve been curious of these vibrating silicon facial cleansing tools. So I picked this one up. I have no idea if it actually makes a difference in my skin, but I feel like it does a good job. My skin seems more clear but idk if it’s this or my new toner. I’ve never used on of these tools before so I have nothing to really compare it to.
The wet brush is literally the only brush I will ever use. I’ve been using them since about 2013, consistently. It doesn’t rip the hair out of my head and detangles all of the knots in my hair pretty gently. I have ridiculously knotty hair, it tangles instantly and these brushes are so gentle on my hair. It also is amazing at brushing out wet hair, it really doesn’t tug on tangles. If you aren’t already using one of these babies I HIGHLY recommend!
